Super Mommy Secrets: Potty Training

Today's Super Mommy Secret is all about the potty ;)

Round these parts Santa is the ULTIMATE potty training buddy!

Ya see since he has come to town, we don't have accidents anymore and we suddenly even go to potty in the middle of the night!

It all started when Daddy got this cool new web cam that lets Miss Add video call Santa. Santa then began asking Miss Add about her potty training... a potty training accountability partner to put it in adult terms...ha!

Now Miss Add is thrilled to share with Santa that she is a big girl each time she talks with him.

Imagine Miss Add's delight when we told her that Santa would be at Holiday World when we visited a few weeks ago.

We patiently waited to see the man himself during his storybook theater.

Baby Jace waited with us too--though he was not as big of a fan it turns out...just sayin' ;)

Santa finally arrived, to the thrill of many little ones!

He sang songs and read stories...

And entertained over-enthusiastic fans...

Mommy thought Santa sounded a lot like Jeff Bridges... just sayin' ;)

Bottom line is that Santa is our potty training super mommy secret.

Super Mommy Whitney shared on our facebook page that her secret is skittles for potty and silly bands for  #2.

What is your secret? We'd love to hear what works/worked for you and your tot.

In other potty news... Lil' Miss Upta Noe Goode is potty trained too! Mommy score!

5 GOODe Thoughts:

My littlest refused...bc he didn't want to be a big boy, he wanted to stay the baby. He knew how, just stubbornly refused. From the 1st day of preschool this fall, ta da! He miraculously started using the toilet himself. He just needed a good shake up to his routine. :)

Great idea! Both my girls are great, except at night. they are very hard sleepers, so I am just trying to be patient. The doctor says there isn't too much I can do; they have to figure this one out when their bodies are ready. :-( Bear is closer than Tink, much to Tink's dismay. My heart breaks for her.

We bribed Gavin with m&ms in the beginning...thank goodness he caught on quickly because I couldnt imagine giving him all that candy! Love the photos...how do you achieve that vibrant effect on them?!?!

Santa wi a good trick.
Grandma served as accountability partner for LittleD (oh, so many years ago, now! Melancholy for potty training... naaa.)
Anyway, Grandma bought her "big girl" panties, then called every night to make sure she kept them dry.
Worked great! She loved the positive feedback from someone important.
