It's a GOODe Life: Flying High

A few days ago the Goodes headed out to a Goode first-- an air show.

Apparently these thingies are quite popular. We scouted out our spot an hour before the demonstrations were set to start and every nook and cranny was crawling with peeps waiting for the show.

We made the best of the wait though;) Lots of fun was to be had...

Oh and some snoozin' too...

For Daddy... that is...

Before long there was some ear coverin' time as the Canadian Snowbirds and other planes/jets (???) took the air.

They were pretty cool!

They zip-zapped throughout the air very close-- no uber close to one another.

We were amazed...

Then... just like when you are atop a roller coaster's first hill and you start questioning the integrity of your belt, strap, buckle, etc... I began to run a worst case scenario in my head...

My little crew was sitting in a poor spot if something were to go wrong...

But soon the Snowbirds landed and I calmed my irrational self down... thankful for their safety and my family's...

Then some other big ole planes (sorry gang-- not a plane expert here) took the air while we waited and waited for the Blue Angels.

We waited...

And waited...

And then we gave up... Truth be told, 3 hours with the occasional plane does not really entertain a 3 year-old... just sayin'

I'm sure the Blue Angels were great, but this mama and papa decided to take our three hours and our own angel home and call it a day.

All in all it was a GOODe Day--perhaps not how we planned--but, a GOODe Day none-the-less :)
