It's a Goode Life: Coming to a blog near you.

Short post tonight. Just a couple previews for future posts.

  • We went back to the Children's Museum today and it was a completely different place. One of the educators there said they had over 18,000 people there yesterday! A typical busy Saturday averages 6,000. We had a lot of fun and took a lot of pictures. Coming soon to a post near you ;)

  • Tomorrow Puddie and I will start Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I am always amazed at how God works. A few weeks ago we decided to give Dave Ramsey a try so we bought his book. Everyone told us that FPU was really what we should do, but we weren't sure where to find one. We had no idea that our church was gearing up to offer the classes again. Just so happened that this past Sunday we learned there was a class starting this week. God is good. I am sure you will be hearing more on this in the near future as well.

  • El and I are dating again regularly and it is going good. I feel so much better after a good run with her. I have even introduced a new workout buddy to the mix. More on that later.

  • Diet has been a real bear lately. I am really struggling with snacking. That, and my DC habit has gotten out of control. Terra has really got me thinking on kickin' the habit... How different my life would be... Seriously. You have no idea... Today I just had soda with lunch and dinner. Major triumph. I am ready for my sticker now...

6 GOODe Thoughts:

Oh yeah! I'm glad you got to go back to the Museum and actually enjoy your visit this time. What a difference a day makes, huh?:) Can't wait to see some pics:)

You know, snacking is a huge problem with me.. always has been. I have no idea why I think I need to snack all the time...? I've been trying for the last 3 weeks to cut that out, or at least snack on something better than potato chips....trail mix...nuts. Yah, trail mix and nuts aren't that bad(lots of protein-but lots of fat too), but I go over board with those! I LOVE that kind of stuff, and I eat, and eat, and eat it until it is gone!! I told Terra that I've been trying to eat at least one veggie and fruit per day. I'm more app to eating the fruit than the veggies though. I did find a new fruit or new to me that I think might be my favorite right now. Have you tried the Apple Pears? Oh my goodness they are so yummy!! Very sweet and crisp. Rylee has taking a liking to them as well:)

As for the DC, I don't have an idea what you are going thru with it. I've never been a "pop" kind of girl. My Mom never bought it for us as I was growing up. When we did go out to eat I was able to have some and it was like a special treat for me. I have kept that same mindset here in my home now and I don't buy soda pop. My husband was addicted to it when we met 11 years ago and has changed his ways with it. He stills craves it yes, but not like he used to. He knows I will not buy it unless its for a special occation. And he can have it when we go out to eat. So, keep on keepin' on with limiting it. He is proof that it can be done:)

Intrigue! I can't wait to see what new workout buddy you have introduced to your mix!

Zumba is going great! Erin is a fabulous instructor. I can barely MOVE today, but loving it! So much fun!

Hope you have a great day! Love ya Sis! :)

Thanks ladies. I only had one DC today btw ;) I don't know who is more suprised... me or Puddie!

Never had Apple Pears Allison. I will have to look them up...hmmm.
