GOODe Review: Carmex Healing Cream & Lotion

A few weeks ago Carmex sent me a few bottles of their new healing lotion and cream, asking that I give my honest opinions on what I thought of them.

Truth be told, I am not really a lotion gal... can't stand any greasiness... at. all.

So, I was a little skeptical at first, but then I thought:

"Self... you don't like lip balm either, but Carmex is your preferred balm of choice when your lips are cracked."

So-- me, myself and I decided to give 'er a try.

At first, I liked it. Not greasy at all and resulted in nice soft skin.

Then cold, dry weather hit and I found myself throwing it in my very messy purse to make sure I had it with me in the event that I needed it and could actually find it

Now I didn't really notice a big difference between the lotion and the cream. Both had the quality and texture that I like about Carmex lip balm... almost wax-like healing feeling.

Not sure what lotion connoisseurs look for-- since I am pretty much an anti-user, but as for me, I will definitely be using this throughout the winter.

What do you look for in a lotion?

3 GOODe Thoughts:

Interesting. I didn't know they made anything but lip balm, which I have used for years and years! Will have to give it a try.

My hands dry out horribly in the winter to the point of cracking. I like something that is soothing and that has enough moisture in it that I don't have to reapply every 15 minutes...BUT, like you, I don't want the greasy feeling.

Well, I didn't know they made a lip balm, either. I have chapped lips all the time. I'll have to try it. Thanks, Cris.
