Goode & Gooseberry Project: Crunchy Bacon-Cheese Dip

Several weeks ago, I served up this Goode & Gooseberry Patch Project Recipe: Crunchy Bacon-Cheese Dip at a meeting.

You can't go wrong with bacon, now can you?

You start my frying up a pound of bacon until crisp and then crumble.

Now set aside and dump 4 Cups of Shredded Cheddar into a mixing bowl...
You determine the sharpness of your cheese...I realize that is a very personal decision... just sayin'

Add 2 Cups Miracle Whip

1 chopped onion

Pound your frustrations out on 1/2 cup cashews

Now toss them in and the bacon too!

Now mix 'er up

And place inside a hollowed out Hawaiian loaf

And serve with remaining bread.

Your guests will love this dish with the cashew surprise!

GOODe GOODeNESS: Cris' Queso Dip

In my humble little ole opinion, there are few things more enjoyable (food-wise) than a big ole crock of Queso dip.

It is so easy to make, there is absolutely no excuse not to for your next gatherin' of the hungry masses.

Truth be told, I whipped up a batch for my FREEZE-O-RAMA girls just the other day.

Forget gathering around the water cooler... who needs water when you can have liquid cheesy GOODeNESS???  And, folks gather up right nice next to a big ole crock of this stuff...just sayin'

Just brown up 1lb of sausage in a skillet or a MicroCooker...

What's that? You don't have one? Well... you are missin' out dear reader... lucky for you, you can enter to win right here.

Now I did it up the old fashion way since my MicroCooker was packed up to go to FREEZE-O-RAMA that day.

Once the sausage was done I drained it and threw it into a crock that fits my crock pot.

Then I cubed up a block of Velveeta and threw that in.

Then I poured in a jar of my FAVORITE salsa... ChiChi's... medium please, thanks!

Now the beauty of using the removable crock is that I can give this puppy a head start in the microwave. I nuked it for 3 minutes, stirred and then another 3 minutes before letting it melt the rest of the way on low in the crock pot.

Yum!

Enjoy!

Goode & Gooseberry Project: Always Requested Spinach Dip--No REALLY!

We're friends right?

Well, we are about to become better friends...

Ya see, truth be told, I thought that they were exaggerating when they called the Goode & Gooseberry Patch Project recipe "Always Requested" Spinach Dip...just sayin'

Turns out...

They weren't.

Oh. My. Word.

I don't care if you don't like a single one of these ingredients, when they come together--angels sing.

Seriously.

You start out with 10 oz thawed and drained spinach

2 Cups Sour Cream

1 Cup Miracle Whip

1/2 an envelope of onion soup mix

And then, I very reluctantly put in 8 oz of chopped water chestnuts...

Now don't go whining about them... I don't like them either.

Remember now, we are friends and I'm not gonna steer you wrong.

Put them on in there... it'll be alright, promise.

Now mix'er on up, cover and refrigerate over night.

Now when you get to your shindig--where everyone will LOVE this stuff-- just hollow out some Hawaiian bread and put the dip inside.

You're welcome ;)

I whipped this up for my big FREEZE-O-RAMA day with the girls.

Speaking of which, did you know I was giving away a Pampered Chef Microcooker in honor of that awesome day?

Head on over to that post and enter to win!

Goode & Gooseberry Project: Zesty Bacon Spread (Dipstock)

My final dip for the Saucy Dipper's Dipstock is this Goode & Gooseberry Patch Project Recipe: Zesty Bacon Dip

Truth be told, I was a little scared of this recipe.

I thought it was going to be hot and spicy... but despite the jalapeƱos it was still pretty mild...I am a wimp when it comes to heat... so you'll be ok with this one, promise.

Start by cutting up 2 lbs of bacon in your handy-dandy microcooker... or just fry it up and crumble it up afterward...

Once you have it nice and crispy, drain and set it aside... Random fact that I think I have shared before... do you know what spell check recommends instead of "Crissy"? "Crispy".

Hello, my name is Crispy.

Anyhoo...

Now take 1/4 cup of butter and cream with your cheeses...

2 blocks of cream cheese-softened

And 16 oz. of Mexican Velveeta-cubed

And Mix 'er up

Now add 1 T JalapeƱos

And 1/4 Cup Minced Onion

Mix 'er again and then add your bacon...yum!

Stir 'er up and serve up to bacon lovers everywhere!

Yum!
