Some REAL GOODe Friends

This has been an exciting couple weeks for the Real Farmwives of America and Friends

As you may already know, RFOA is a group of my bloggy pals... we have been sharing all our blogs on our facebook page for quite a while now.

However, last week launched our new website www.realfarmwivesofamerica.com to focus on the happenings in our kitchens... cause truth be told, farm girls can cook...just sayin'

These women are farm girls, farmwives, moms, daughters, and aunts that either live on the farm, grew up on the farm or work with farmers everyday.  Most importantly they are friends that have the bond of the farm among other things.  Follow along with their blogs as they tell you about their hectic yet amazing lives on the farm.  From turkey farmers to pig farmers to grain farmers, they can tell you about it all and answer any questions you might have about the food you eat.

Then this week, we had a huge announcement about a partnership with Gooseberry Patch , then they featured us on their blog and in addition to all that...

Several of us Indiana based Real Farmwives of America and Friends got a special treat when one of North Dakota sisters made her way to the Hoosier state!

Miss Katie from Pinke Post was visiting and us Indiana girls got together to give her a big Hoosier welcome. You just gots to go meet her adorable family.

Miss Liz from 2 Maids a Milking was there... have you seen the AMAZING Coach Purse Cake she made? Duff ain't got nothin' on her... I have been droppin' hints that I think Vera would make a great follow up cake ;)

Miss Amy or Ott, A as some of you know her, from A Latte with Ott, A was there too... Canning goddess, Iron Chef queen and a woman in search of the perfect tenderloin... if you aren't hanging out with Miss Amy online, you are missing out.

Miss Leah from Beyer Beware was there as well. Most of you know this Hunk of Meat Monday mama, but if ya don't... grilling season is upon us and this lady knows how to marinade folks.

Miss Meggie from Hoosier Farm Babe was there too! Miss Meggie keeps things fabulous on the farm and even gives you the inside scoop on how Manolos have an interesting connection to dairy cows.

And, last but not least... Miss Heather from 3 Kids and Lots of Pigs. Not only is Miss Heather the founder of RFOA, she is also the super busy working mom of 3-- including a certain 8 year old that has her own cooking show! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, cause mama can cook too folks... just sayin'

Well, that is just a glimpse of a handful of our girls... you can meet more of them here and here.

6 GOODe Thoughts:

What a great time and i look forward to all the future RFOA get-togethers and adventures.

What a fabulous evening it was! Thanks Cris for organizing such a warm welcome to me in the Hoosier state. You are dear farm girl friends that I truly appreciate and can't wait for our next RFOA gathering!

NEAT! I will be clicking on all of their sites!

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time! What a great opportunity to enjoy each other's company. My only claim to farming is that I live in the country, have a garden and raise chickens! Oh well, I love reading your stories anyway.

Good food, Good friends, Good times! So blessed to have you all call me friend.

Looks like so much fun...thanks for sharing the pics, Cris! :)
